The Borne 2 Be project was born in the framework of Semaine Intensive 2018, organized by ENSICAEN, Normandie Aménagement, Caen la Mer Habitation and OuiShare.

Borne 2 Be is a community-driven kiosk that allows the people of a neighborhood to exchange local ads, news, to consult an interactive map, or the bus schedule.

The users can authenticate to post content thanks to their smart bracelet or contactless badge.

I mostly worked on the project's hardware: setting up a Raspberry Pi with Android Things, creating an Apache Cordova wrapper for the kiosk's website, communication with the fab lab in general, and mostly the setup, configuration and integration of an NFC reader for user authentication.
